New Year’s Eve is coming up quickly and today I wanted to share an easy NYE outfit idea that you can recreate from pieces in your closet (or maybe a couple new ones!). I’ve had this romper for months, I wore it on repeat all summer long and now I’ve found another way to wear it for the colder months. Today I paired it with sheer black tights, booties, and my black leather jacket. I added a metallic pop through my clutch and a pair of black and gold statement earrings. This entire look was put together from older pieces that I already had in my wardrobe. Looking fab for NYE, or any occasion for that matter doesn’t mean you have to go out and buy an entirely new outfit. Sometimes putting an outfit together from your own closet looks just as great or even better!
To recreate this look, you just need to start with a base — today mine is a black romper. Mine is old, but this one is super cute and could be worn for multiple events. You can also start with a little black dress like this one. Then grab your favorite booties and jacket to layer on top. Lastly throw on some tights and add accessories. Since this entire look was black, I went with a gold metallic clutch to break up the all black. I also wanted to wear statement earrings since my hair is up in a top knot.
Speaking of hair styles, what’s your favorite way to wear your hair for special events? Let me know in the comments! I always wear my hair at least half down so wearing it on top of my head is definitely a tad out of my comfort zone. I’m trying to expand my horizons though so this is my first effort!
