Product Face Off: Primer

Primer Face Off1 I received the I Do VoxBox in the mail and included in it was the Indeed Labs primer, Nanoblur. I was super excited to try it because I love the Hydraluron serum by them. Once I tested it out, I thought it might be more helpful to write about a few different primers instead of just that one. 1. Up first is the first primer I ever tried, Smashbox's Photo Finish Primer. I'm a little oily, and this magnifies my oil ten-fold. I like the feel of this on my hand, but it just doesn't work for my skin. I didn't really know any better since I never used another primer before. I know a ton of people live by this product though, so if your skin isn't oily, it may work wonders for you! 2. Once I tried and failed with the Photo Finish, I discovered Benefit's Porefessional. Oh my gosh, I love this stuff from the depths of my heart. It has such a great creamy texture. It gives my skin a smooth finish so that when I apply my makeup I have a clean, even slate. This stuff is my absolute favorite primer on the planet!...at least until something better comes along. 3. The Porefessional is a little on the pricey side, so I was on the hunt for a drugstore primer that was comparable. I tried out Maybelline's Baby Skin primer. This stuff is the real deal. It has a great consistency, blurs my pores, and makes my skin super soft. If you're looking for a lower price point primer, this little guy is for you! 4. THEN, I got the Nanoblur in my VoxBox. I can't even explain how excited I was to try this out, followed by the disappointment of how much I hated the way it felt on my skin. This primer left a sticky feeling on my skin, which was such a turn-off because primer goes on right after your moisturizer, so it should be a smoothing consistency. NOPE! It was sticky, and I didn't feel like it really blurred my pores the way it claims to. The only other product I've used from Indeed Labs is the Hydraluron serum, and I loved it, which is why I'm so surprised I didn't like the Nanoblur. Bottom line: Porefessional rocks my socks off, but if you want something great at a lower price point go for the Baby Skin! Are there any primers I didn't mention that I should be trying? Let me know in the comments. I hope this helps some of you ladies out there. Thanks for stopping by! Xoxo, Sarah
