Today I'm sharing the first post in a new series I'm doing called Friday Faves. There are tons of bloggers and YouTubers that do similar things and I thought I'd start in on the fun. I plan to share one item I've been loving that week. It might be a clothing item, beauty product, book, home decor find, or anything else I come across that I'm loving. I'll share styling tips or tips on how I use the product.
This week's first one is all based around these
lace-up pom sandals. They are seriously the cutest sandals I think I've ever owned. I don't know about you, but I always think it's funny when I love something and then you ask a guy and they hate it. It's almost like you know you're being extra trendy if your guy doesn't like your outfit ha!
I know sometimes when you see a shoe like this it seems intimidating and like you'd have nowhere to where them. I always recommend thinking about 3 places or events you'd be able to wear an item before purchasing it. That's why I'm sharing 3 ways to style these
pom sandals today!
The first way I've found to wear
these sandals is in a super casual summer outfit. I paired them with
cut-off jean shorts and an oversized striped tee. I topped this look off with my
new favorite sunnies and
this crossbody bag that I've had since last year and it's still on repeat alllll the time. It's also on super sale right now so if you want it, grab it up!
This is a look I wore out last weekend for drinks. It's casual for a hot summer evening with friends. It's also perfect for everyday life -- running errands, a lunch date, etc.
The second way I've styled
these sandals is with
boyfriend jeans and this
boxy lace top. I love that this look has a mix of feminine and a bit harder touches.
The top is boxy and the boyfriend jeans are a bit slouchy, but the lace and color of the top is super girl and so are the sandals. I finished off this look with
this satchel -- it's big enough to carry anything I'd need with me, yet small enough to still be comfortable to carry for a longer period of time.
For me, this is the perfect casual summer date night look. I'd wear this to a concert, happy hour, walking around a little downtown, etc. It's also super comfy so it could easily be worn to run errands, although with the extreme heat we've had this week it's hard to imagine wearing jeans out during the day at the moment.
Lastly, I paired
these sandals with a cute navy shift dress and my trusty
jean jacket. I love wearing dresses in the summer so this is no exception. I added my favorite
hoop earrings to this look and topped it off with my
sunnies that go with literally everything and a blush-colored clutch.
This is something I'd wear to a casual shower, brunch, happy hour, or even to an evening event if it was still really hot out.
I definitely don't think
these pom sandals are appropriate for every single occasion in life, but I do think that I'll be getting much more use out of them than I'd imagine from first glance.
