This plaid scarf is giving me all the festive vibes over here. I styled it as a poncho because, well, it’s cold out and I didn’t feel like wearing a coat. This is my perfect excuse to be wrapped up in a blanket in public and still look socially acceptable. I know, I’m genius! I shared a couple other ways I like to style plaid scarves (or any scarf for that matter) here.
Today I paired this red plaid scarf with my go-to tote bag, booties (duh!), and dark skinnies. I haven’t worn these skinnies in so long and I really love the wash of them, so be prepared to see them a lot coming up. I also layered this gold bar necklace with this delicate necklace I wear every single day. Also, this tote is sold out in the cognac color that I’m carrying (it’s still in stock in a neutral and black!), but this one is super similar and also affordable.
If know me at all, you know my least favorite color is red. I don’t really own anything red, I don’t care to own anything red, and basically I wish the color would just disappear. It’s funny that I’m not a fan of red because it’s my sister’s favorite color AND my great-grandma used to say, “I love every color, as long as it’s red.” I really surprised myself when I picked up this scarf and then went through with the purchase and actually left the store with it. I actually painted my nails red last night too. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but apparently I’m just really in the Christmas spirit this year. Ha! Also, if you’re anything like me and don’t like red, this scarf does come in a couple of other colors too AND it’s on sale.
What are you doing to get in the holiday spirit? We’re going to cut down a Christmas tree this weekend. Once I have my tree, I feel like my entire house is allowed to be full of Christmas stuff.
