Best in Beauty 2016

I can't believe 2016 is already over! Today I'm sharing my best in beauty from the past year. These are the products that I used non-stop and just can't get enough of. Watch the video for swatches and some longer explanations or read on for a few words on each product (: Laura Geller Spackle Mattifying Primer: This primer is perfect for those of you with larger pores. I like to use it around my nose and on my cheeks, just in the spots that my pores are a bit larger. It leaves the skin so smooth which is perfect to apply foundation to! It Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC+ Cream: This CC cream has some amazing coverage. It will leave you feeling fresh faced while still having perfectly evened out skin. It does have a high SPF for it's not ideal for flash photography. I personally loved wearing it all summer long. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation: This is the foundation that I grab when I don't want to think about what to wear. It's easy to apply, blends like a dream, and has buildable coverage which makes it very versatile. It also has an insane shade range, especially for the drugstore. Too Faced Born This Way Foundation: This medium-to-buildable coverage foundation is one I find myself reaching for a ton. It has a pretty natural finish and gives you a great base to finish off the rest of your makeup. L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer: I've been using this concealer crayon for years. I have acne prone skin and this is my favorite spot concealer. It's pretty thick so it's great for blemishes, but I wouldn't use it for concealing under the eyes. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer: The shape tape totally changed the concealer game this year. It has insane coverage, doesn't crease, and blends out so easily. I have zero bad things to say about this product. I would highly recommend this to every single one of you -- although it's pretty hard to get your hands on. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder: This is the powder that I've been using for the last couple of years to set my undereyes and entire face. It's the perfect setting powder to create a smooth base for the rest of my powder products to sit on top of. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with dry skin, but if you have normal, combo, or oily skin, it's a must-have! Benefit Hoola Bonzer: The perfect neutral shade to contour with and also bronze up the rest of your face. It's a bronzer that I think everyone needs to at least test out. The only downfall in my eyes is the packaging; it's a little hard to get a big bronzing brush into the box. Nars Laguna Bronzer: Another amazing bronzer that I think everyone should try. This one is also great to contour and bronze up your face. Unlike the Hoola bronzer, this one has a tiniest amount of sheen to it. Marc Jacobs Air Blush: This was hands down my favorite blush discovery of 2016. It is so gorgeous on the skin giving you a very natural flushed look. It's not too pigmented which makes it ideal for beginners as well. Becca Blushed with Light Palette: The blushed with light palette has something for everyone and is an amazing palette to travel with. It'll give you multiple looks without having to carry a bunch of individual pans with you. This palette is much more pigmented than the Marc Jacobs ones so use a light hand until you're used to the pigmentation. Benefit Cheekathon Palette: I was SO excited when this palette launched, and I was just as happy with the products once I had it in my collection. The blush color coralista is what I've used the most from the palette thus far, but everything in it makes it a must-have in my eyes. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette: I don't wear eyeshadow often, but when I do it's 99% of the time a neutral look. This palette mixes matte and shimmer shades and has everything you'd need to create multiple entire looks which makes this another great travel item. The shimmer shades are some of the most gorgeous ones I have in my collection and the dark shades can be worn as eyeliner as well. Such a versatile product! Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Gel Liner: This liner glides onto your lids so easily and makes the art of winged liner easier than ever. I love the consistency and the fact that this is a true black formula. Nyx Matte Liquid Liner: I like using a liner like this while traveling so I don't have to worry about brining my winged liner brush plus the pot of gel liner. This is an all-in-one easy to use liquid liner. The applicator isn't extremely long which makes it more manageable. L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara: I've talked about this mascara a million times on my channel so I'm not going to go into much depth. It's my favorite drug store mascara. Period. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara: This mascara is a pro at separating my lashes. I love to use it when I want to have really fluttery lashes. I have 2 backups in my drawer right now because I never want to be without this mascara again! Giorgio Armani Eccentrico Mascara: This is a very dramatic mascara. I like to wear this when I'm going out for the night or want my eyes to pop a little more than normal. Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara: This is my favorite volumizing mascara. The bristles help keep your lashes separated and helps to coat every single lash giving you some major volume. I like to pair this one over a coat of the lights, camera, lashes mascara for an extra boost. Buxom Full-on Lip Polish: This is my favorite gloss formula hands down. It feels minty and cool on the lips and plumps without any pain. It comes in tons of great shades and is definitely worth the $20 price tag. BareMinerals Gen Nude Gloss in Sugar: Another great lipgloss in my book. This formula will leave your lips feel really soft. It also comes in tons of great nude shades. Tarte Tarteist Glossy Lip Paint in Goals: This is a much more opaque glossy formula. This color is one of my favorite to wear. It'll fully cover the color of your lips, but is so comfortable to wear all day. Nars Velvet Lip Glide in Stripped: If you're looking for a true nude lip, this is the one for you. Most nudes have a pink or peach undertone. This is just a nude nude. OPI Got Myself into a Jam-balaya: This was my signature summer nail color. It's the perfect pinky-peach shade and looks so amazing with a tan. I have a backup bottle too so I never run out! Essie Mrs. Always Right: This color has been on repeat all fall and winter and I don't see any signs of it stopping. It's such a versatile shade that can and will be worn all year long. Alright, I hope you enjoyed hearing about my best in beauty products from 2016. What are the products that you can't live without? Let me know in the comments! xoxo, Sarah Shop my favorites:
