April Fools' Day Bloopers

April Fools' Day Bloopers

Good morning, friends! Today I'm sharing a bit of a different kind of post (the first of many different kinds of posts!). I love sharing beautiful outfits, makeup tips, etc. with you guys. I get so much joy out of fashion and what a great outfit can do to our confidence. More on that later. I also love social media. I think it's such a fun way to share our lives and brands with the world. There have been a ton of articles floating around about how the more time you spend on Facebook, the less happy you are. This is because it's easy to look at other peoples' pages and posts and think that their lives are perfect. Social media is the highlight reel to our lives. We post the pretty things, the things we're comfortable sharing with the world. We don't post the ugly. We just don't. The reality is that we are all the same at the core. We all have insecurities, unhappy days, and stuff going on in our lives. These are just things that happen behind closed doors. Today I want to remind each and every one of you that comparison is the thief of joy. Try not to let yourself scroll on social media and think that every fashion blogger, fitness model, lifestyle brand, etc. is perfect all the time. We show you a very small fraction of what our lives actually are. I love pretty clothing, an organized home, and cute workout clothes. That doesn't mean that I'm always dressed in something cute, that my house is always clean, or that I don't sweat right through those cute workout clothes. Don't let social media fool you into thinking any less. It's April Fools' Day which I figured was the perfect day of the year to share some bloopers from my shoots over the last few months. My mom takes all of my photos and we have such a blast doing it. Sometimes she'll just be clicking away on the camera while I'm cracking up, talking, readjusting, or having a dance party. Shooting Valentine's Day looks in Michigan in February was a tad BRUTALLY cold! (This is the day I learned what my I'm freezing cold face looked like)April Fools' Bloopers

Got it, mom? Did you get it? Are we done?!April Fools' Bloopers

This is probably the moment she told me to look serious. That's a sure way to get me to starting cracking up.April Fools' Bloopers

More cracking up. There's a theme here. April Fools' Bloopers

The wind was out of control in the alley we were in. I could not get my scarf and shirt to lay flat to save my life.

We shoot at least 25 photos per look and then you see only a few of them. This is what it really looks like. Cracking up, wardrobe malfunctions, bad lighting, talking mid-shot, hair in my face, and the list goes on.

I hope you had an amazing week and month of March! My sister is in town this weekend so I'm going to be enjoying a lot of family time. I also have the goal of getting over this sickness. Fingers crossed. 8 days until vacation! Have a great weekend, guys!

xoxo,
