6 Valentine's Day Date Ideas that Don't Include Flowers and Chocolate

Valentine's Day is a holiday that a lot of people hate and a lot of people love. I think that if you love someone, you should do things to make sure they know it 365 days a year, not just on one day. I do, however, think it can be a day to do something a little extra specific for your certain someone. Today I wanted to share 6 Valentine's Day date ideas that go beyond flowers and chocolate. These are ideas that will create memories with your significant other for a long time to come. I'll be sharing some fun outfit ideas very soon, but if you can't wait, you can see last year's posts here, here, and here! Go ice skating. Since Valentine's Day is in the middle of February, ice skating is a great option. It involves going outside which isn't something that happens often if you live in a cold-weather state. It's also super fun even if you're not good at ice skating. Top off the date with some hot chocolate to warm up afterwards. Take a cooking class. Cooking is one those things can be really fun when you do it with someone you love. It's also a great excuse to try new foods and bring your newly learned techniques home for dinner date nights at home in the future! Go wine tasting. Taste a few different wines, and when you find something you like, buy a bottle and share it together after dinner. Recreate your first date. Go to the same restaurant, order the same drinks, and pretend it's your first date all over again. A lot of first dates are pretty horrific, but when you end up on one with someone great, they can be pretty amazing. Go to a comedy show. There are few things better than laughing together so a comedy show is the perfect spot to spend some time together. It's hard not to have a good time spending the night laughing with your best friend. Make dinner in. Just like taking a cooking class, cooking together at home can be just as fun. The bonus of making it at home is you can wear cozy clothing and cuddle up to watch a movie right after. Sometimes staying in together can be just as romantic as going out. Hopefully these Valentine's Day date ideas gave you a little inspiration to change up the norm and do something fun with your special someone. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you have an absolutely amazing time with your love or great friends! xoxo, Sarah
